Copy Modes

There are several text/graphics copy modes available in Screen OCR. All of them are available via Copy submenu, depicted below:

Here is the description of what each mode does:

  • Default (All Formats) - performs multiple-format copy of selected (recognized) text/graphics to clipboard;
  • Plain Text - copies selected (recognized) text to clipboard in plain text format, graphical elements are discarded;
  • RTF - copies selected (recognized) text to clipboard in rich text format (preserving text formatting);
  • `Table - [currently not available];
  • Graphics - copies graphical contents of selection to clipboard (makes a screen shot of selected window or its part);
  • Append Default - copies multiple-format text/graphics to clipboard appending current clipboard contents; this is very useful when there is a need to recognize multiple fragments of text/graphics and then paste the entire resulting fragment to a document;
  • Plain Text Append - copies selected (recognized) text to clipboard in plain text format appending current clipboard contents; this is very useful when there is a need to recognize multiple fragments of plain text and then paste the entire resulting fragment to a document;
  • RTF Append - copies selected (recognized) text to clipboard in rich text format (preserving text formatting) appending current clipboard contents; this is very useful when there is a need to recognize multiple fragments of formatted text and then paste the entire resulting fragment to a document.

    Copy menu is displayed each time Screen OCR finishes processing data selected using one of available Selection Modes.
